“We CAN see the World evangelized if we will do it”

    Haystack Prayer Meeting

This week we went through the Circuit Riders Black Voices Manual!!!

One of my favorite this we talked about this week was how Christianity is NOT a White Man’s Religion and how the Lord has always used black/brown people in His story and the HISTORY of the Church.

Here is a glimpse of some of my favorite facts of the week:

    • Simon, who helped Jesus carry His cross, was an African man
    • Antioch received the gospel because African men were some that decided to share the gospel to the Hellenists!
    • St. Augustine, Tertullian, Athanasius, and Origen early church fathers) were all African
    • The FASTEST growing Christian church in the world is in Iran!
    • Almost ALL of the Ivy League Colleges in America were made to train up missionaries
    • The largest revival in human history is ongoing in China and has for the last 30 years. They have more believers in China than any other country
      • At a church in China a church sent out a 12 y/o & a 13 y/o girl to villages in winter. The 13 y/o died because no one would receive them. The 12 y/o ran back home and got other believers who prayed for her and she resurrected!
    • Every 20 seconds a person comes to Christ in Indonesia
    • In Syria, entire cities have cancelled the call to prayer and Ramadan because there are no longer any Muslims
    • There are still 3,500 Unknown Unreached People Groups
    • EVERY DAY 154,000 die without faith. Without hearting the name of Jesus!

Each day the Lord increased my burden for the unreached dramatically. Even during outreach this week, when I drove onto Ohio State’s Campus, I felt this deep burden for the dying souls there.

You can’t judge the legitimacy of that system by the abuses of it. You have to look at its purist core and judge it from its natural outcome.

    Gym Testimonies

Friday morning I went to the gym (s/o to the Pickerington Lifetime and Brielle <3).

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

    Revelation 12:11

While warming up (with my landlord coach Brielle), I asked the Lord to show me who to talk to. Not long after, I looked over and saw a guy at the bench with a dangly cross earring. I went over to talk to him about Jesus. After he shared his testimony, I shared mine and how I forgave someone who assaulted me in college because the Lord told me to. He then shared how he had a similar experience with radical forgiveness recently and how my testimony encouraged him so much! I was able to pray for him, talk to him about the music he listened to and even share the church information with him! His name is Ken, please pray the Lord continues to reveal Himself to him!

I then met another who had a cross tattoo on his leg. He was Catholic and wasn’t interested in pursuing a relationship with Jesus. Please pray the Lord would soften Cody’s heart so that he can receive and pursue the Lord

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

    Mark 16:17-18

    *DRUMROLL*

I saw my first healing during evangelism. Honestly, before doing DTS, I rarely prayed for people to be healed while sharing the gospel. But while I was at the cable machine I saw a guy who had the SAME cross on his shirt that Cody had tattooed to his leg. So after I finished my set, I went to talk to him. His name is Ben and he goes to a Catholic high school in the area. I began explaining to him that going to Mass does not save you. That Jesus died for us to interact with the Father through HIM ALONE. That proof for purgatory is not in the Bible. And above all just shared the Gospel with him. I then gave him an opportunity to repent, because he was responding in a way that made me believe it was toughing his heart. Ultimately, he didn’t repent.

But he did mention he had an ankle injury (sprain) for over a year. I believed that the Lord could and would heal him as a sign of the truth of His Gospel. So I told him what I wanted to pray and he allowed me to. And I’m hesitant to say ‘I prayed’ because all I did was ask Holy Spirit to show up and do what He does.

After I ask him to see how his ankle feels and he immediately tears up because he’s no longer in pain! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GYM.

I gave him another opportunity to repent, and he didn’t yet, but please be praying because his heart AND body were clearly touched! His name is Ben!

I WANT YOU ENCOURAGE YOU THAT YOU CAN EVANGELIZE WHEREVER YOU ARE! I’M SURE YOU USED TO BE LOUD FOR SIN…IT’S TIME TO BE LOUD FOR JESUS!

    Thanksgiving Shabbat

This is Hani!!! She’s one the Israeli students that has been in Columbus for the past 8 weeks going through a discipleship program.

She’s the sweetest! I asked her about her necklace at the Thanksgiving Shabbat we had after their graduation and she took it off her neck and gave it to me because she felt like the Lord wanted her to give it away and was just waiting for the opportunity to do so!

It means ‘Chai’ which is short hand for ‘Am Yisrael Chai’ which means “THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL LIVE.” It is a solidarity slogan to express the strength and solidarity of the Jewish Nation and as an affirmation of Jewish continuity and identity, typically during times of heightened adversity.

Weekly Reflection: Can Jesus have your ‘yes’? And will you support reaching the enriched of the world?
